It's easy. Contact me (e-mail is likely the fastest way), describing the project at hand (enclose the file or files). I will assess the materials, and ask you questions that will help me define your needs in more detail (deadline, intended audience, source file format, general expectations, etc.). I will then get back with you with a no-obligation written proposal.
HOW LONG WILL MY PROJECT TAKE?
Quality translations take time, so if at all possible it is always a good idea to budget enough time to get it done right, right from the start. I typically process 1,500-2,000 words per day, and it is my standard practice to always thoroughly review my own work after a break: revisiting a text with a clear mind the next day allows for a more critical and efficient review. More time then needs to be budgeted for a thorough editing by a competent technical editor (whose services you can contract directly or I can contract on your behalf).

WHAT ARE YOUR CHARGES?
Each project is different, and charges vary based on several factors (nature of text, objective, deadline, to name a few). Once we discuss all your project's requirements in depth, I will be able to provide you with a detailed quote.
DO YOU WORK ALONE?
Yes, and no. I am an independent contractor, but I am just the first cog in the complex machine that is the translation process. So, you may be interested in engaging my services for the translation only, or you may like to entrust the management of your into Italian project to me entirely, in which case I will avail myself of the added services of a highly selected group of proven professionals (whose names, coordinates and credentials I will share with you, as transparency is a must if what you are after is the best translation your money can buy).
DO YOU ALSO OFFER TRANSLATIONS INTO LANGUAGES OTHER THAN ITALIAN, OR SPECIALTIES OTHER THAN MEDICAL?
For any target language other than Italian, I will be happy to assist you in finding a competent professional linguist who works into the language(s) you require.
I will evaluate projects outside of the medical field on a case-by-case basis. I do often venture into several other technical areas, so I may very well be able to help. If not, I will help you track down another technical translator with the needed expertise.

Absolutely. As is standard in the industry, I will sign an NDA, protecting all your documents/information from any type of disclosure.
